Architectural Renovation & Interior Design – Putney

This project is ongoing in early 2026. Full renovation works on 2 floors of this period Putney home. Particular focus on bathroom remodelling and new living room.

Architectural Design

Bathroom

Bathroom remodelling project shows sophisticated spatial planning within the constraints of a compact flat loft space, transforming a utilitarian space into a luxurious wet room that maximises functionality without compromising aesthetic refinement. The design features a full height shower zone complete with thermostatic valve, fixed rainfall head, and handheld shower at 1200mm. A bespoke storage unit with integrated ledge at 900mm height provides essential toiletry storage while concealing pipework and services.

Interior Design Work

Bathroom

Interior design work focus on textural layering and tonal restraint, creating a serene sanctuary through carefully curated natural materials. The palette centers on warm neutrals and organic textures: finger tiles in soft sage blue introduce subtle color and geometric rhythm, while clay plaster wall finishes provide tactile depth and character. Travertine stone brings timeless elegance with its characteristic pitting and veining, complemented by creamy Marfil marble flooring. The rich walnut vanity unit grounds these lighter tones, its horizontal grain adding warmth and visual weight, while brushed brass fixtures and hardware introduce refined metallic accents that catch and reflect light. A striking oval mirror framed against textured wall cladding becomes the focal point, its simple form allowing the surrounding materials to shine. Roman linen blinds complete the scheme, offering privacy while maintaining the room’s commitment to natural, breathable materials that create an atmosphere of calm sophistication and timeless appeal.

Bedroom

The bedroom scheme embodies contemporary minimalism with a warm, organic sensibility, creating a tranquil retreat through carefully considered materials and restrained detailing. The design centers on natural timber elements, with a substantial walnut wardrobe featuring clean vertical paneling and integrated leather pulls that provide both generous storage and sculptural presence. Woven cane panel inserts introduce textural complexity and visual lightness. White oak engineered flooring with a white-washed finish enhances natural light, and a luxurious Andes ivory bouclé bed fabric that invites touch.

Mid-century influenced furniture pieces, including a sculptural charcoal armchair and streamlined nightstands, add personality without cluttering the serene composition. Warm brass wall sconces provide ambient lighting, their simple geometric forms reinforcing the scheme’s commitment to understated elegance and timeless sophistication.
